The client required various types of equipment from Traffic Management to Site Accommodation & Installation, Access and Earthmoving. Wiley & Co is a Brisbane based company and was looking for a supplier that could work to a Government Spec and supply all the equipment within a restricted timeline. We had a meeting with the client after they had completed Stage 1 of the project. Although Reliable Hire was not the supplier of hire equipment for Stage 1, it was identified that there were some changes that needed to be made to ensure the success of stage 2. We talked through stage 2 and made the necessary changes for the client.
We were able to supply the equipment with in the time frames requested. This included installation of compound and site fencing as well as site accommodation including cyclone tie downs. Due to soil conditions, ground penetration was not recommended. All equipment supplied was engineer certified and compliant meeting stringent OHS criteria. All powered plant supplied was accompanied by the documentation required to meet site requirements and Government legislation.
Ultimately, we provided a solution due to good communication with and from the client as well as providing an understanding of the equipment timelines, pressures and expectations of the client. On larger scale projects we like to meet with the client and talk through the project, delivery times and any requirements before the project starts to ensure a smooth transition into the project. Once this is done the implementation can be instant.
The site establishment was completed and signed off before the expected time without issue. All contractors had done the necessary inductions and paperwork prior to the initial delivery start date. A delivery schedule was established beforehand and every transport contractor had clear instructions of the daily expectations. The project was completed on time and without incident with all equipment supplied meeting the client’s expectation.
